Duotrope (formerly Duotrope's Digest) is an on-line source of information for writers and magazine publishers. It allows writers to record their magazine submissions, look up markets based on such criteria as genre, length, and pay scale, and provides links to the web pages of a large number of magazines. It allows publishers to reach out to writers with information about what kinds of manuscripts they are looking for and what payscale they offer.
