This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
One of these:
- The subject matter of the article is irrelevant to the characteristic being applied to it.
- The article is primarily or wholly the subject itself, rather than a description of the subject. This includes statistics pertaining to the subject.
- The article is merely a news report that doesn't meet notability guidelines.
- The article is primarily or wholly a plot summary.
If content is determined to be relevant, it should not be censored.
Don't worry about how much space content occupies, Wikipedia does not have a maximum size.
Wikipedia does not define things, it describes them.
Wikipedia does not publish original thought or suggestions outside of its own scope. If you invented something, be prepared to have reliable sources stating it exists, and verifying that it is notable. Wikipedia is also not a publisher of personal opinions, as opposed to the ones of experts, or an existing relevant consensus. In addition to this, Wikipedia does not host first-hand news reported by editors, as Wikipedia is not a primary source. Finally, discussion should be kept on talk pages, and not in articles (html comments about content are sometimes acceptable, but only in exceptional circumstances).
Wikipedia should not be used for recruitment, advertising, promotion or unfounded speculation.
Wikipedia is neither a mirror nor a repository of links, images, media or source materials.
