Mexican Jumping Frijoles is a rock band from Tijuana Baja California Mexico.

Band members are: Octavio De La Torre (bass), Alfonso Nakamura (drums), David Cortez (guitar), Victor Carrasco (vocals).

The origins of the band start back in the year 1991 in the city of Tijuana, Mexico.

MJF’s music has been published on many different independent labels.

Their only legit full album is called “Bazzooka”  which includes 14 tracks and 1 hidden track.

The album was published and distributed by 4 different labels, MJF, Rock & Roll Circus, Swenga and Opcion Sonica.

The bands music style varies on different music genres that include rock & roll, funk, rap, metal, reggae, ska and punk. At one time they were calling their music style “Funkychikirastapunk”.

The band was a big part of Tijuana’s rock movement around the early 90’s all the way thru the late 90’s, their style of music (and apparel) was something not very common around that time in the local scene.

New wave, punk and heavy metal pre-dominated the rock scene around the city, when Mexican Jumping Frijoles started playing the local clubs, kids started attending their shows and supporting the band.
