"To the extent we are trusted, it will not be because we are right, but because we are honest. The only way to show we are honest to to present the facts and arguments that go against us as carefully as the ones we think correct. The reader will judge. Any compromise with this is a sign that we distrust the reader's intelligence and judgment so much that we are afraid to disclose that there are those who disagree."

Greetings! I've been at Wikipedia since the spring of 2006, and work on a variety of topics, mostly in the life sciences, Canadian issues, and climate change mitigation.

Clayoquot Sound (pronounced “clack-wot”, not “clay-o-quot”), is a beautiful wilderness area on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. In real life, I am a woman in Vancouver and work in the software development industry. I use the accounts Clayoquot2 and Clayoquot3 for test edits.

Articles to which I've made big contributions include:

I've also had lots of fun collaborating on Common Raven, Humpback Whale, Cougar, and Lion.

I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to meet many Wikipedians in real life and I'm fairly active in outreach, especially when it comes to improving climate articles. I am supporting TatjanaClimate in her work at the Global Systems Institute and I train trainers for various events. On July 17, 2023 I led a climate-focused editathon, for which I'm receiving funding from Wikimedia NYC. I made some edits related to this event, such as removing copyright violations. In 2023-2024 I did some work as a part-time Wikipedian in Residence at the Hydrogen Science Coalition.

I am currently a part-time Wikipedian in Residence at Energy Tracker Asia, working with their network of academic subject matter experts to improve articles related to environment and energy. My work with Energy Tracker Asia is funded by the Meliore Foundation. In this role, I have full editorial independence. The contents of my edits are not directed by any organization and any errors and biases in my work are my own.

I sometimes incorporate text that was written by others who wish to remain anonymous. In these cases, I ensure they first release the content under a Creative Commons Zero license.

Gratefully received

Requiem for a good man

Thank you for quality articles around life sciences and Canadian topics, such as Delayed sleep phase disorder, Low milk supply, Cougar, Sea otter, and Michael Bigg as a Requiem for a good man, for welcoming new users, for missing, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

The Featured Article Medal
By the authority vested in me by myself it gives me great pleasure to present you with this special, very exclusive award created just for we few, we happy few, this band of brothers, who have shed sweat, tears and probably blood, in order to be able to proudly claim "I too have taken an article to Featured status". The Environmental Barnstar
Really cool to see sustainable energy as today's featured article. It's a great read and I see you were responsible for its promotion. Thank you for your efforts! Bzweebl (talkcontribs) 17:00, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
