Netfirms, Inc. is a website hosting company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[1][2] The company was founded in 1998 by York University students Thomas Savundra and Suhan Shan. Netfirms is an ICANN[3] and CIRA[4] accredited domain name registrar, and is recognized as one of the fastest growing .com registrars, with 200,000 domains.[5]

Privacy Issues
[edit]Anthony Chai filed a lawsuit against Netfirms on August 24, 2011, alleging Netfirms disclosed his private information to a foreign government.[6] Tim Phillips, owner of Dirt Maker claims he started receiving a large amount of spam emails on February 16, 2014, six days after Netfirms gave his email address to Mojo Marketplace without his consent.[7]
