Freddie James Hockey (born 12 August 2005) is an English professional footballer who plays for Crystal Palace, as a forward.

Career

Hockey began his career at Concord Rangers,[4] before joining Colchester United. Ahead of the 2021–22 season, Hockey signed for Chelmsford City. Whilst still 15, Hockey appeared for Chelmsford's first team for the first time, playing against The Spartans in Chelmsford's pre-season tour of Scotland in July 2021.[5] On 21 August 2021, Hockey started against Maidstone United in the National League South, becoming Chelmsford's second youngest player in the process.[6] In March 2022, Hockey was loaned to Hullbridge Sports for the remainder of the season.[7] On 20 September 2022, Hockey joined Bowers & Pitsea on a dual-registration deal.[8]

Tom Arthur Blackwell is an English professional footballer who plays for Chelmsford City, as a forward.


Career

Blackwell began his career in the academy at Coggeshall Town, joining the club at the age of eight.[10] During the 2018–19 season, Blackwell played for Coggeshall United, signing terms for Coggeshall Town ahead of the 2019–20 season.[11] Whilst at Coggeshall Town, Blackwell was sent out on loan to Eastern Football League sides Long Melford and Stanway Rovers.[9]

In September 2020, Blackwell signed for National League South club Chelmsford City. During the 2020–21 season, Blackwell failed to make an appearance for Chelmsford, being loaned to Canvey Island and Brightlingsea Regent. During the 2021–22 season, Blackwell enjoyed a breakout season for Chelmsford, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3–0 win against rivals Braintree Town, scoring his second goal for the club two days later in a 3–1 away win against Essex rivals Concord Rangers. During the season, Blackwell made 42 appearances in all competitions for Chelmsford, scoring eight goals.[10]

Eduino Vaz is a Bissau-Guinean professional footballer who plays for Chelmsford City, as a left back.


Club career

Born in Guinea-Bissau, Vaz moved to England, after living in Portugal at the age of 15. After moving to England, Vaz joined Chelmsford City at under-16 level.[10] In 2020, Vaz started his senior career with London Colney, making two appearances.[13] In 2021, Vaz signed for Bowers & Pitsea, making two appearances in all competitions for the club.[14] In January 2022, after initially playing for the reserve side in the Essex and Suffolk Border League, Vaz returned to Chelmsford City.[10] On 28 January 2023, following interest from clubs higher up the pyramid, Vaz left Chelmsford.[15]

Richard Kone is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays for Wycombe Wanderers, as a forward.


Club career

In 2019, Kone began playing for Lopes Tavares, later to be renamed Athletic Newham, scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for the club in his first season at the club.[16] In 2021, Athletic Newham were promoted to the Essex Senior League. During the club's first season in the league, Kone scored 42 goals in 48 games in all competitions, finishing as the league's top scorer with 31 goals.[17] The following season, Kone scored 40 goals in all competitions.[18]

On 1 January 2024, Wycombe Wanderers announced the signing of Kone, following a successful trial period.[19]

Personal life

Kone is gay. As a result of this, Kone was made homeless in his native Ivory Coast. Kone subsequently represented the Ivory Coast in the 2019 Homeless World Cup.[20]
