User:IZAK/awards given by IZAK
Statement about the awards I have given:
Awards (see Category:Wikipedia awards) and Barnstars (see Wikipedia:Barnstars) should only be given to editors who have displayed marks of distinction above and beyond the average. The following awards and barnstars were posted on the following user's pages after great thought and as a mark of respect and honor for their contributions to Wikipedia. These awards are not meant as endorsements of the those user's views, they are only meant as marks of recognition for distinguished service and contributions to Wikipedia, nor are they meant to diminish the contributions of a great many other users who are also deserving of such and similar awards.
Thank you, IZAK (talk) 08:07, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

User:Atlantictire
[edit]Awarded to User Atlantictire (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email):
- The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar. Dear Atlantictire, it was your moral outrage early on directed at the outrageously shabby and hateful "Jews & Communism" article that has been vindicated with its deletion and demise. "The Defender of the Wiki may be awarded to those who have gone above and beyond to prevent Wikipedia from being used for fraudulent purposes" and you certainly have done so. Keep your passion for the truth going strong! Best wishes, IZAK (talk) 21:16, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
User:Avraham
[edit]Awarded to User Avraham (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email):

Whenever the applecart may be up-ended Avraham will judge fairly and set it straight. Congratulations! IZAK (talk) 01:22, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

User:MarkBernstein
[edit]Awarded to User MarkBernstein (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email):
- The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar. Dear MarkBernstein, your passion for the truth is a guiding light. Thank you for entering the sordid discussions surrounding the even more sordid discredited "Jews & Communism" article. Your principled no-nonsense expression of nothing but the truth and your courageous nomination of the article for its second deletion nomination eventually rid Wikipedia of a great stain on its reputation. "The Defender of the Wiki may be awarded to those who have gone above and beyond to prevent Wikipedia from being used for fraudulent purposes" and this is 100% true about you. Do not despair, the forces of evil and lies are always seemingly more "overwhelming" but they can never defeat the power of truth. Keep on going strong and please continue on as a beacon of light on Wikipedia and beyond. In admiration, IZAK (talk) 21:51, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
User:Pharos

Dear Pharos, you deserve so much credit for taking on the job of trying to "salvage" an intellectual and moral wreck, the so-called "Jews & Communism" article, by reducing its toxicity and trying to bring normalcy, historical context and true WP:NPOV to this tough topic, all under the most harrowing circumstances. You kept your cool and remained professional under fire while facing great provocation. Wikipedia is fortunate to have you. May you continue to go from strength to strength! Yours sincerely, IZAK (talk) 10:11, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

- The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar. Dear Smeat75, there is no such thing as winning too many awards and it is therefore my honor as well to acknowledge your stubborn and dogged determination, in spite of all the unjustified insults you had to endure, to pinpoint everything that was wrong with the misbegotten "Jews & Communism" article and you played a huge role in revealing it for the sham and shame that it was. "The Defender of the Wiki may be awarded to those who have gone above and beyond to prevent Wikipedia from being used for fraudulent purposes" and this certainly applies to you. It has been a pleasure meeting you on Wikipedia. IZAK (talk) 21:33, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
User:Snow Rise
[edit]Awarded to User Snow Rise (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email):
- The Special Barnstar. Dear Snow, it has been a great privilege reading your rational and penetrating commentaries surrounding the sordid "Jews & Communism" article at various forums. Your accurate summaries and incomparable logic set the tone for a high caliber debate. I was immensely struck by your uncanny ability to almost "read the minds" of the protagonists and to call a spade a spade correctly from which they could not escape. Your commitment to Wikipedia and to help it is inspiring, even at the cost of entering into controversial turf where you have nothing to gain except the goal of ensuring that Wikipedia remain a respectable and responsible source of human knowledge and not a cesspool of pseudo-scholarship. Thank you so much for your dedication to and love of Wikipedia. Yours sincerely, IZAK (talk) 10:29, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
User:The Four Deuces
[edit]Awarded to User The Four Deuces (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email):
- The Golden Wiki. Dear TFD, Wikipedia owes you a huge collective thank you for researching the origins of the horrid "Jews & Communism" article and bringing about its well-deserved final demise. Thank you so much!! Your consistent rejection of its premises and clear recognition that it was pseudo-scholarship and your fearless first nomination of it for deletion and never wavering from your highly principled reasoning served as an intellectual and moral beacon in what at some points became an "insane world" by those defending the indefensible. May you go from strength to strength. Your sincerely, IZAK (talk) 11:02, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
User:USchick
[edit]Awarded to User USchick (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email):
- Template:The Jewish Barnstar. Dear USchick, you contributed tirelessly in so many ways to fight for a WP:NPOV in the now-discredited "Jews & Communism" article and you were never fooled by the underlying negative motives of the pseudo-scholarship it tried to sneak onto Wikipedia. But your sensitivity to how this relates to and impacts Jews and the harm it can and does cause was also very evident all along. Your strong common sense with a sound knowledge base and a willingness to give others the benefit of the doubt, even though you disagreed with them, is something that you can be truly proud of. Keep on going strong, Wikipedia and the world needs you! Yours sincerely, IZAK (talk) 10:38, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

IZAK 05:01, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
