Kelly Paul Oubre Jr. (born December 9, 1995) is an American professional basketball shooting guard and small forward for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously played in the NBA for the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, and Charlotte Hornets.

[edit]On November 16, 2020, the Suns traded Oubre, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, Ricky Rubio, and a first-round pick in the 2022 NBA draft to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Abdel Nader and Chris Paul.[2] The Thunder sent Oubre to the Golden State Warriors six days later, receiving two 2021 NBA draft picks in return.[3]

Philadelphia 76ers (2023–present)
[edit]On September 26, 2023, Oubre signed a one-year, $2.9 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, the minimum contract for a veteran player.[4][5] Although head coach Nick Nurse and the 76ers discussed pursuing Oubre in July, attempts at communication fell through until late in the signing period, when Oubre connected with personal trainer Drew Hanlen, a friend of Joel Embiid.[6] On November 11, Oubre was struck by a car in a hit and run as a pedestrian in Center City, Philadelphia. He was hospitalized and treated for rib fractures, as well as cuts and bruises.[7][8] At the time of the injury, Oubre averaged 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds on 50 percent shooting in eight games for the 76ers, including five starts.[9]
