I have been one of the wikipedia's most prolific contributors, having made my first edits in October 2004. Standards have changed, and I am more experienced, so I occasionally come across articles I started back when I was less experienced, and standards were more loose, that don't measure up to today's standards. Some times I think it is worth trying to bring them up to today's standards. Other times I place a {{db-author}} on it.

If I don't think I can defend an article before an {{afd}} I have normally requested deletion.

Some times another contributor asks me about an article I started, and I realize they have a point, and I request deletion. If an article is {{prod}}ded, or nominated at {{xfd}}, I request deletion.

I have requested deletion of lots of subpages I started in userspace.

Today I am going to start a log recording when I have placed a {{db-author}} on an article or other material. I will only fill the note field if there is some reason other than I noticed something that merited deletion, and requested deletion on my own initiative, or if there is some other complication.
