[edit]According to the view aggregation website Book Marks, the book has received critical acclaim; of the twenty reviews analyzed, eighteen are marked as "rave" while the other two are "positive".[2]
Awards and honors
[edit]The book received the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction[1] and was a finalist for the 2019 PEN/Jean Stein Book Award.[3] Boyer went on to win the 2020 Windham-Campbell Prize for Non-Fiction for her work, including The Undying.[4]
The book was named one of "100 Must-Read Books of 2019" in the "Memoir & Essays" section by Time Magazine[5]
