Never at Rest: A Biography of Isaac Newton is a biography of Isaac Newton by Richard S. Westfall that was initially published by Cambridge University Press in 1980. The book won the 25th Pfizer Award from the History of Science Society in 1983[2] as well as the 1982 Leo Gershoy Award for the best work on any aspect of seventeenth and eighteenth century European history.[1] Twenty years after its publication, Publishers Weekly noted that the book the "definitive" biography of Newton.[3] Andrew Odlyzko noted in 2020 that the book remains an "authoritative" biography.[4]

The Life of Isaac Newton
[edit]The Life of Isaac Newton is a condensed version of Richard S. Westfall's biography of Newton. The book was reviewed by Marie Boas Hall,[11] and Betty Jo Teeter Dobbs.[12] The book was also reviewed by Christoph Scriba in German[13] and it received a French review in 1995.[14]
