William Hamilton D'Cruz is the first legislator from Kerala to be nominated (14 March 1902 - 11 May 1970).Sir William was nominated for the first Kerala Legislative Assembly. As a businessman, Sir William entered politics in the 1950s. He has served as the President of Shipbuilders Association, President of All India Anglo Indian Association (Cochin) and Board Member of Shipbuilding Workers Association.
