Doc Freighter
[edit]Doc Freighter are an English rock band formed in Dartford in 2021. The band consists of Lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, James Burridge, Zsolt Benko (Bass guitar, backing vocals) and Oliver Bruce (Drums, backing vocals). Their debut studio single, Wax Lyrical, was released in 2022 and has garnered media attention and heavy traction from the general public and critics alike, being dubbed the hottest new band on the London Music Scene[1] and being featured on international blogs and news outlets. The group has an influence which spans multiple decades, and a sound that "brings with them all the artistic culture of their nation."[2] Credited influence includes early Britrock icons such as; The Kinks, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones[3], 80s indie, Echo & the Bunnymen through to much newer indie rock, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes.
