Final Fantasy VIII
[edit]I'm about to request for semi-protection until this can be settled. What do you think? ~ Hibana 21:25, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. Deckiller 21:26, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Hey
[edit]Looks like the discussion has quieted down, which is good. I think the new revision is reasonable until we can find creditable sources. Deckiller 22:02, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Cato Neimoidia/Temp tags
[edit]What is the point of editing this page, when there is a stub entry for Cato Neimoidia, as well as an entry in the List of Star Wars planets (C-D)#Cato Neimoidia?
I know this article was nominated for Afd once already, but I would nominate it again, as well as the Cato stub - three seperate sections for one subject is a tad redundant.shabbs 08:28, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, the Cato Neimoidia stub has been dealt with. Is there still a reason to maintain THIS /Temp page? Is this supposed to be the main article, linked to the Cato "brief" in the List of Star Wars planets (C-D)#Cato Neimoidia? Or is it just an unintentional and over looked waste of space? shabbs 14:37, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help! shabbs 15:01, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia Project
[edit]Hi, my name is Federico (alias Pain) and I am creating a section for nominating th best user page, I was wondering if you were interested in joining the project.
The project has just started, and we need help to spread the word and ameliorate it.

Final Fantasy XI
[edit]Hey! Yeah, I'm interested in that Final Fantasy project, sounds like fun! Sign me up for it :D Halliwell3 01:36, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Re: SW merges
[edit]Well, I'm not a Star Wars expert, but I've seen a couple of your merges they look good; some of these things are verifiable but don't Google well and thus might have their existences questioned. The only thing I'd suggest is to use edit summaries when merging for the purposes of the GFDL. Cheers, CanadianCaesar The Republic Restored 14:27, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Barnstar
[edit]Hey, it's M.Y. I figured I would award you a barnstar for your massive work, even though I'm not really a wiki geek. That fancruft you talked about at school seems to be evil, huh?
Battles
[edit]Hey, do you think that sorting battles into conflict lists would be a good way to keep it chronological and organized? --Deckiller 03:21, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you mean- You mean like in a list, chronologically? --maru (talk) contribs 03:22, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yes; a list for Clone War battles, galactic civil war battles, etc. Small battles can be included, and larger ones can have a main template and maybe a short description. --Deckiller 03:27, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, especially with the stub battles. Most of the battle articles are pretty fleshed out anyway, and I haven't heard too much complaining about star wars fancruft from that category. --Deckiller 03:34, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Most of the complaining I hear is about the uniformly poor writing. I don't think most of them should be merged, but if you have to be merge happy, merge them into the War article where they would be put into context. --maru (talk) contribs 03:36, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Patriots featured article
[edit]Oh yeah, I wouldn't touch a featured article for any reason. I didn't mean to imply changing the Patriots article while it's being featured. I was talking about a future addition. Sorry to worry you! :) —Wknight94 (talk) 15:05, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, like I said, I wouldn't touch an FA while it's in that state. But, after that cools down (whenever that is - I'm not familiar with the FA process), I'll mention it there or I'll just put a postseason summary in another team's article for proof-of-concept. It wouldn't be until tonight at the earliest anyway since I already have the data compiled in a spreadsheet at home. —Wknight94 (talk) 15:11, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, forever? I was guessing it was for some finite time. Well, I'll make the change somewhere and mention it on the N.E. talk page. It definitely isn't a slam dunk since the levels of postseason changed so much, esp. around the time of the big league merger - even my spreadsheet is a little confusing at points. I'll pick a more complicated one and try it there. Thanks for the guidance! :) —Wknight94 (talk) 15:35, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- About a postseason summary: Basically, the gist of it is already there in the season-by-season records table, although not as extensive as the ones on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks articles which list every postseason game on the table. And in all three, the scores of the playoff games have not been listed yet. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 19:30, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Brady/Xenosaga GAs
[edit]With the Xenosaga (series) article, the whole "Allusions and influences" section is unsourced. Same goes for the primary trilogy section. Likewise, much of side stories and other projects is unsourced. The last three sections of Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht are unsourced. Johnleemk | Talk 15:13, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Hey
[edit]You turned me into a mergist back into August (with Xenosaga ^_^), and I have been working to create that project to create a centerpoint for merging, cleanup, and whatnot. Many thanks for the support. Deckiller 21:21, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, I'm glad I can help. I've got my (limited) Wiki time mostly sunk into an open-ended cross-fandom cruft cleanup project (User:A Man In Black/Cruft), but the Star Wars articles are dying for some cleanup, and a Wikiproject would be a good place to start, especially now that everyone's time isn't taken up dealing with Copperchair any more. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 21:27, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. I've also been in the middle of some major merge projects and template creations for organization and all. Thanks for the help! Deckiller 21:31, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Star Wars Jedi Apprentice merging and such
[edit]Hello! Since you seem to be a centerpoint for Star Wars cleanup, I have a question or two (and a proposal).
Ther are two articles about the Jedi Apprentice series of books which are quite similar, Jedi Apprentice and Star Wars Jedi Apprentice, one should probably be merged into the other. I'll do that if you think it's a good idea. Also, all of the individual book articles referenced by those pages have some pretty severe copyvio problems. Nearly every article has "Plot Summary", "Back Cover Summary", and "An Excerpt from Scholastic.com" sections. (The Dangerous Rescue is the only article without an excerpt.) The Plot Summary is taken verbatim from an Amazon.com review (helpfully linked at the bottom of each article!), the Excerpts are from the the publisher's website, Scholastic.com (also helpfully linked!) and presumably taken from the original book, and the back cover summary seems to come from Scholastic.com as well. Those sources are called "Source 1" and "Source 2" at the bottom of each article. I think those articles should be stubs with the copyvios removed. (I'll do that work too.)
Anyway, what do you think? Thanks! ArglebargleIV 23:18, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Sorry it took so long to respond...
The merge looks good, and moving it to Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice makes sense to me.
A template would be good -- I don't have any experience with making them, however, so I can't help a lot there.
I could join a Star Wrs wikiproject, 'cause there's a lot of good work to be done, but I must say that I don't have a lot of, uh, recent SW experience -- I'm old enough to have seen Episode 4 in the theater during high school, and I've read a few books since then, but I've haven't seen the new trilogy. (Han Shot First!) Let me think on that before I reply.
I can help with the SW:JA pages, though. ArglebargleIV 05:54, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
Capital Ships List
[edit]I like the idea of having a list for SW capital ships. If such ships have a name I think it should be placed under the apprppriate section. BTW when is this project goint to start?--PatCheng 23:26, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
