I have added quite a few inline refs over the past few weeks. Do you think we need to do more to keep it a FA?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 17:57, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
FFVIII characters and albums
[edit]Hahaha, I understand. I was just tightening whatever was there, whoever wrote it. Anyway, what do you think of merging the three FFVIII soundtrack albums and possibly Eyes On Me and Liberi Fatali into an "albums" page like Final Fantasy X albums? If we can get FFVIII chars to GA, a Featured Topic on FFVIII may be in the works at some point. Also, I'm not entirely happy with the name of that article so do you have any suggestions for a better article title? I was thinking something along the lines of "Music of Final Fantasy X" and maybe expand it into a development article for FFX's music similar to how the FFVIII chars article is a supplement to the character section of FFVIII's article. Do you get what I'm saying? I feel like I'm rambling... :) Axem Titanium 01:39, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's actually slightly frightening but I'm glad we're on the same page. ^_^ I'm a little worried about metaphorically "biting off more than I can chew", but we'll see. Anyway, I'll continue with the characters page for now before trying my hand at looking for music references. Axem Titanium 01:53, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. I understand. For that one Laguna source I removed, I think I was worried that the section would get too plot summary-y. I normally don't remove sources but I guess I felt that was important. Axem Titanium 04:09, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think I might hold off a bit on that for now. I don't really have too much time for Wikipedia right now myself. I think I'll finish off that character page copyedits tomorrow. See you whenever. Axem Titanium 04:13, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

It's been featured. Thanks for helping me out! · AO Talk 22:06, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
It's on the main page! Kudos to you and all who helped make it an FA. I'll keep a special eye on it for vandalism. :) MahangaTalk to me 00:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Page Defacement
[edit]Hey, wanted to read the FFVII article, but it has been defaced.
FYI. Not sure how to report this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Toounknown (talk • contribs) 19:04, 20 March 2007 (UTC).
Why do I feel like you messed up?
[edit]Part one of mess up
Part two of mess up
Wonderful, first you revert to a vandalized version of the page (I admit that I did that too but unlike me you got rid of a non-vandalized version resulting in the page being vandalized again) then warn the person who got the page to a non-vandalized form.
And from WP:UTM: Level 1 - Assumes good faith
Well you are the one who reverted page without vandalism to a page with vandalism, I am doing this due to how I interpret all of this. Sorry! You assumed good faith but ended up making the page vandalized...again. I was very slow typing this message. Funpika 22:00, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

If you seriously think I should not have used the vandalism level 1 template then please tell me. Funpika 22:00, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. Administrators have to stay on top of vandalism using rollback, which occasionally results in a rolling mistake when vandalism is reintroduced, especially when a wrong link is clicked. I am removing your comment from my talkpage, including the warning, which was not necessary. In cases where administrators make mistakes, your best course of action is to leave a note on their talkpage stating "Hi, I believe you reverted the wrong IP during the confusion", and not issuing a test warning meant for IPs and newcomer editors who are fooling around, not those who are administrators who have been around for two years and have never vandalized. Keep up the good vandal fighting though! — Deckiller 22:22, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Characters_of_Final_Fantasy_VIII
[edit]The article Characters_of_Final_Fantasy_VIII you nominated as a good article has passed , see Talk:Characters_of_Final_Fantasy_VIII for eventual comments about the article. Good luck in future nominations. Funpika 22:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Devil May Cry 2 FAC
[edit]Hello!
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your honest criticism of the Devil May Cry 2 article. That honesty has helped to improve the article in ways I couldn't see myself. I've just finished overhauling the citations and including as much information as possible. If you have any other concerns, feel free to bring them up so they can be addressed. Cheers, Lankybugger 01:25, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- I was thinking of tackling the Kya: Dark Lineage article and bringing it up to GA-class, then FA-class. If you check my userpage, I've got a to-do list of articles I intend to fix up. I'm not really sure... The other Devil May Cry articles also need a lot of work. Thanks again for the feedback. Cheers, Lankybugger 04:06, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ack. You beat me to compressing the Reception paragraphs. Cheers, Lankybugger ○ speak ○ see ○ 03:23, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- No worries. I was just puttering through the FAC and noticed AMIB's comments about the review table. That got me to thinking that with four paragraphs, the section was already bloated enough. Then I commented as such, and went to change it and you'd beaten me to it.
- I don't want to sound over-sensitive or anything, but per Quatreryukami's comments, is there anything about the article which does strike you as crufty? I've tried to be as neutral and concise as possible, but I know I've missed probably things. Cheers, Lankybugger ○ speak ○ see ○ 03:29, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. So when does Characters of Final Fantasy VIII go for FA? Cheers, Lankybugger ○ speak ○ see ○ 03:48, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've done a bit of work on the Kya: Dark Lineage article, though after joining the DMC task force I'm tempted to continue the DMC pushing until all of the DMC articles are FA-class. Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 3 wouldn't require TOO much work (as they're certainly not is terrible a shape as the DMC2 article was) so I might help tackle those two (and probably the DMC series page). GAC
[edit]Well, I was about to go through and review some GAC articles to get the final fantasy ones to the top of the list, but it looks like that's been taken care of before I got there. Congratulations on the Chars of FF8 by the way! I'm not going to review FF2 unless there's a longer delay, as I'd feel biased reviewing the last main FF article that's not GA or FA --PresN 16:07, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Oops
[edit]Looks like I stepped on your toes a bit while we were editing the Characters of Final Fantasy VIII page. I was clearing out some vandalism. Whoops XD Peptuck 21:32, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- It looks like the Adel picture shows up fine on my end; it my just be your computer, as mine sometimes doesn't display thumbnails either. Peptuck 22:06, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Why did you remove the not yet active notice? While I agree it's not pretty, it was there because there are simply not the policies nor the reviewers to assess an article as A class. I reverted your edits - please discuss on the talk page first. --User:Krator (t c) 21:51, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Currently there are only two editors actively assessing articles, with myself handling the bulk of the requests. Some tech things (like the a-class=active thing in the vgproj template) are simply not there, and there's no three editors (the bare minimum for A-class needed) watching VG:Assessment. If you post on the talk page asking for an A-class assessment with some suggestions, I'll chime in - I've wanted to do such a thing for some time, but never have gotten around to it. --User:Krator (t c) 21:59, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Just a question:
[edit]To be A rank, does an article need to be 100% sourced? - A Link to the Past (talk) 01:45, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, Kirby's Dream Land has been just barely unsourced, in that I can't find a source for this one fact. - A Link to the Past (talk) 02:07, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Removed. - A Link to the Past (talk) 03:50, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
That reminds me...
[edit]If you'd like to let me know when you place Characters of Final Fantasy VIII for FAC, I'd love to drop in and give my comments. However as I stated in the peer review, I think the article is already FA-class and the nomination itself would merely be a formality. Cheers, Lankybugger 03:51, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Lord knows the Characters in Devil May Cry article needs that sort of attention. Maybe after I finish up with Kya: Dark Lineage. In fact, you may as well go ahead and consider the layout you've got in your article stolen. So, SO stolen. Cheers, Lankybugger 03:58, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
