Re: Typo
[edit]No problem. On an unrelated note, hope you aren't finding FAR as stressful as I sometimes find it! LuciferMorgan 02:41, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Draft sandbox
[edit]Responded there as well. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 03:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I did some cleanup and additions to the draft transwiki guidelines. If you'd care to take another look and leave your comments or changes, would be much appreciated! Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 19:02, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think that's a bad idea, although we should probably hold off on that until the proposal is at least in project space and has had some time for discussion. Blindsiding people with it might lead to an awful lot of disruption. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 21:37, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- That just might be the perfect start, then. I have an account and a bit of experience on Wikibooks, so I can certainly help with the transwiki process and making the new book if that's required. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 21:47, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see a deletion discussion or anything on it. In any case, if we've got a significant amount of material to import, it won't hurt for content this time around! Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 22:01, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry, I was unclear. I meant there was no deletion discussion at Wikibooks I could find. Thanks for the link to the one here though. I've asked at Wikibooks about doing the transwiki, so that should be a good gauge of the sentiments on it over there as well. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 22:13, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely sure the admin understood the question, I clarified it. Hopefully that'll get a better feel for it. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 23:07, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Check back again at the Wikibooks link. I discussed the matter further, and got a tentative go-ahead on it, as long as the book is a study of the game and not simply a "cheat guide" or game guide, and actually makes some critical commentary on the game. Now, the question of course is, since this seems to be something you're quite familiar with, would you like to help in writing it? Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 19:10, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Guess so. I'll see what they have to say, but if they don't want it, forget 'em, I guess. Also might want to consider StrategyWiki, for the game stuff, in addition to the universe wiki. You got a link to the stuff you sent over? Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 21:52, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Michael Jordan FAC
[edit]I know you're busy but if you have some free time could you look through or perhaps even copy-edit MJ. There have been complaints raised about the copy-editing during the FAC. SandyGeorgia highly recommended you. The votes has been diverse enough that if issues are addressed it still has a chance to pass. Thanks in advance. Quadzilla99 08:53, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Tyler, I think the article is close if you can have a look. There are some problems with the references, but I can fix them myself if push comes to shove and after I get caught up from my travel. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:30, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. Quadzilla99 06:12, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
I just recommended that it be moved to FARC for additional work, because there are extensive problems with the references and WP:MSH; I wasn't at all happy with the prose. Can you glance at it and give an opinion? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:40, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
FFXI
[edit]Respectfully, I have to disagree with your suggestion of merging Final Fantasy XI character classes into the main article. The article was split off from the game article because the game's article itself is too long as it is, and separated from the main character classes article because the character classes in FFXI have been changed so much to reflect MMO conventions. I would rather keep it separated for those reasons and because of other MMO articles like World of Warcraft and their attendant class articles. Just my two cents. You know generally I agree with your mergist philosophy, but this time I'm going to have to disagree. :/ -RaCha'ar 23:15, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]I appreciate your assistance with copy editing and your helpful comments on the article Sandy Koufax while it was listed under WP:FAR. BRMo 23:45, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Slayer
[edit]Hello again Dec, i was hoping you could help me out (again :). Someone commented on the prose for Slayer main page request here [[1]] and you did an awesome job copy editing Slayer, i hope that if you have some spare time you could ce the main page request on Slayer, it will be greatly appreciated, otherwise if you're busy then no problem. Thanks for your time and help :). M3tal H3ad 11:10, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

One more to go
[edit]Maybe, we'll see. I might work on the main Star Wars article. I might feel like taking a break from Star Wars and coming back to it later. :) The Filmaker 13:47, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
CheckUser
[edit]I've (somehow) never actually had experience with a user with sockpuppets. What exactly is the procedure? Axem Titanium 22:45, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- This person seems to have stopped but if he starts again, I'll request for CheckUser. Axem Titanium 19:16, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Good afternoon (GMT time); you've recently blocked the IP addresses involved in the above RFCU, citing the reason as .. sock puppet of Kara Umi per Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Kara Umi. However, the CheckUser who handled the case made a decision of no comment on the IP addresses; therefore, it appears the block should not have been implemented.
I may be incorrect here - I am relatively new to formal clerking, and so this may be due to lack of experience. However, judging by the reasons given in your block summary, the block was unjustified (unless there are further reasons).
Kind regards,

This page is now last on the chopping at FAR. Any thoughts on it? Marskell 15:28, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- I sent Norte Chico to FAC, BTW. I'm noticing your sig less at FAR :(. Marskell 12:12, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Advice request
[edit]If I want a Wikipedia community decision deciding whether an external link is reliable and deemed appropriate, where would I turn? A lot of Metal articles have links to a rather poor source called Encyclopaedia Metallum (relies on user submissions), which all the crufties seem keen to keep (they make mediocre stubs and then keep these links etc.). Any advice is appreciated. LuciferMorgan 22:28, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Godfather
[edit]Would you mind moving The Godfather/Sandbox over to The Godfather replacing the old version. I've finished reformatting and I'd like to nominate it for a peer review and then possibly for GA. :) The Filmaker 01:30, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, so the guy from The Godfather article is back. We're arguing over the synopsis. Would you mind running over and giving your two cents. :) The Filmaker 22:53, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- And please, when you do so, it would be nice to be judged on the merits. Many thanks. Ed Fitzgerald (unfutz) 01:39, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Incidentally, is there a reason I don't understand why The Filmmaker didn't post his own revision of the article instead of having you do it? Ed Fitzgerald (unfutz) 01:40, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate the information. Ed Fitzgerald (unfutz) 03:32, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hey I know you're probably busy. But I'd appreciate it more if you weighed in your opinion, as I don't believe that your edits will go over any better than mine. The Filmaker 13:00, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
hey

Sources for Characters of Final Fantasy VIII
[edit]Well, I don't recall where I got the images from. They've been in my "personal collection" for a while. I'll search for the images I used; if I can't find them, I'll just upload some new ones. However, I sourced all of the screenshot images (except for Ellone) to their exact origin. The site is now defunct, but it is available using the Wayback Machine. --Teggles 03:41, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Aside from Ellone, all images have now been sourced. Yeah, I left the rationale for someone else (probably you). Sorry :) --Teggles 05:26, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
