Pikamander2 (alternatively spelled PikaMander2) is a Wikipedia editor, redditor, and certified memelord.

Biography

[edit]

The anonymous nature of the Internet has made it difficult to determine Pikamander2's background, but some details are known. For example, the etymology of Pikamander2's name stems from the Pokemon species Pikachu and Charmander and was created for the now-defunct site Pokemon Crater, a fan-made 2D MMO game. The suffix 2, originally chosen because the name "Pikamander" was unavailable, now serves as a backronym that refers to the Generation 2 Pokemon Porygon2.

Editing history

[edit]

With over 9000 edits to the English language Wikipedia project, largely consisting of trivial janitorial work, Pikamander2 has made significant contributions to the readability of Wikipedia's content. He was once quoted as saying:

Never again should an inquisitive reader stumble upon a missing oxford comma, only to give up on reading the article and go cry themself to sleep. My edits are among the most important in Wikipedia's history and I expect the sands of time to recognize them as such.

Awards and honors

[edit]

In recognition of Pikamander2's history of reliability, the administrators of Wikipedia agreed to bless his account with several notable user rights, including the famed rollback privilege, granted only to the select few who bother to apply for said privilege. Pikamander2 responded positively to this development, saying:

This is absolutely mindblowing; now I can revert the edits I don't like with just one click instead of two. My Friday nights will never be the same again!

Reception

[edit]

Pikamander2's edits have been met with generally positive reviews. Several notable users have thanked Pikamander2 for his article cleanup edits, though not all of the feedback has been positive. In response to public accusations of making trivial edits to artificially inflate his edit count, Pikamander2 fired back at his critics, saying:

Oh yeah, well, your mom inflates her edit count... in bed!

These remarks sparked considerable controversy but were ultimately forgotten about several seconds later when the next bad thing happened on the Internet.
