Rheinier Ivan Meyerholz (born December 10, 1890, died March, 1967[1] ) was a mayor of Cupertino, California).
Graduated Stanford University in 1914 with BS in Civil Engineering.[2] Married on February 6, 1920 to Edna Books[2]
At 1920, worked in San Francisco, but maintained residence in Cupertino (need reference).
In March of 1954, R.I. Meyerholz chaired an exploratory committee to incorporate the City of Cupertino, fearing annexation to San Jose, Sunnyvale, or Santa Clara.[3]
On Tuesday, September 27, 1955, Meyerholz was elected to the first city council of Cupertino.[3]
He was also a member of the Cooper Ornithological Society[4] and was also an inventor.[5][6]
Also served on the Cupertino Board of Education for many years and was president of the board for several of those years. (need reference) Served on the Cupertino Sanitary District's Board of Directors. (need reference)
