Mass deletions done with the Nuke tool now have the 'Nuke' tag. This change will make reviewing and analyzing deletions performed with the tool easier. T366068
If I may ask, why did you desysop yourself? You were one of the best admins around. Can we still count on you for closing DRVs that don't require the sysop bit? Owen×☎15:15, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@OwenX: hi mate, thanks for the kind message. Pretty much for the reasons I touch on here. All things being equal I should be back next year at some point! Cheers, Daniel (talk) 19:03, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was really disappointed to see in the Admin's Newsletter that you were no longer an administrator. We really rely on your level-headedness in AFDLand and you were very prolific in your discussion closures. But I was just browsing the ARBCOM candidates' list, saw your entry where you state this is a temporary situation so this really a message saying "I'm sad, no, never mind, I'm glad!" I think it's good to take a break when real-life activites are adding a lot os stress to your life but I welcome your return, whenever that happens. LizRead!Talk!22:21, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Liz, thanks for the message. Yes, only temporary - I will admit I was feeling a little burned out overall, but the main driving factor was my relative unavailability until mid-January due to travel & Australian summer (it is wedding season down here...). I look forward to picking up the tools again once I'm back on board 100%! Cheers, Daniel (talk) 01:11, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Wikipedia. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.
