Discussion
[edit]- I've discussed this with Cobi on IRC and this bot is great. I'm supporting a trial run for it. I see no harm in another archival bot. This one just adds more options then the current (werndabot and miszabots). ~ Wikihermit 14:17, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- The only thing I don't like is you can't chose your target. For example, the bot archived to User talk:Wikihermit/2007/September. I wanted it to go to User talk:Wikihermit/Archive 4. I think the target=%s parameter should be available. ~ Wikihermit 18:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- This is because you asked it to archive to "User talk:Wikihermit/2007/September." With format=Y/F, that means the page should be in the format Year/Month. If you wanted /Archive 4, then you should have used archiveprefix=User talk:Wikihermit/Archive|format= 4 -- The bot doesn't support automatic incremental backups, *yet*, but I am working on that. -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 19:18, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Approved for trial (7 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. I'm going to go ahead and approve a trial. Cobi is an experienced bot op who knows what he is doing, and seven days should be long enough for some sort of archival. ~ Wikihermit 21:42, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Like MiszaBot, but better! You have my full support for running this, even thought it's a bit of a combination of MiszaBot and the HBC Archive IndexerBot. GrooveDog (talk) (Review) 20:57, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Trial is over. Everything seems fine. -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 21:47, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
