Park Mi-yeon (Korean: 박미연; born September 15, 1990), known professionally as Serri (Korean: 세리), is a South Korean singer, dancer, and model. She is best known as the leader and lead vocalist of Dal Shabet.
Career
[edit]2011–2018: Dal Shabet, The Unit
[edit]Serri made her debut as a member of Dal Shabet with "Supa Dupa Diva" on January 3, 2011.[1] On June 23, 2011, Serri released the track "Turn Your Head" with member Subin for the OST of Quiz of God 2.[2]
In 2012, with the departure of leader Viki from the group, Serri became the new leader of Dal Shabet.[3]
On September 7, 2017, Happy Face Entertainment stated that Serri would be appearing on The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project.[4] On December 4, the company announced that she had decided to leave Happy Face Entertainment after her contract expired in order to focus on her career. They also stated that they would support Serri's appearance on The Unit until the end.[5] On February 3, 2018, Serri was eliminated in episode 13 after placing 23rd.
2019–present: Solo career
[edit]In August 2019, Serri stated in an interview that though "Dal Shabet isn't promoting, we haven't disbanded".[6]
On September 11, 2020, Serri made her solo debut with the digital single "Come Closer".[7]
Personal life and education
[edit]Serri is a graduate of Dongduk Women's University.
