In 2013, Bloomberg Beta was created and Bahat was appointed head of the new entity. Bahat is a partner of Bloomberg Beta along with Karin Klein and James Cham. Bahat and the cofounders became known for their early investments in artificial intelligence companies.[1] Bahat started writing and speaking about business people collaborating with organized workforces, after doing a report for Bloomberg on future labor trends.[2] For example, in 2023 he started a private roundtable with the Aspen Institute focused on organized labor.[2] Bahat started teaching an MBA course on leading a unionized workforce at University of California, Berkeley.
