Rock Solid Talent Entertainment
[edit]Rock Solid Talent Entertainment was speedied three times and then salted, but may now be notable enough for an article, so I'm investigating recreating it. Sources (particularly) and comments welcome.
The deleted article is at

https://musicconnectiondayton.wordpress.com/tag/sophia-radisch/ Arguably secondary, but Rock Solid Talent Entertainment, LTD, in association with Star 1 Group, is happy to announce the worldwide release of “Beautiful Sin,” on which she is joined by Shawn Drover (Guest Drums) and Glen Drover (Guest Guitar, Producer) of Megadeth fame sounds like a press release, and how reliable? That is, exactly what is musicconnectiondayton? See https://musicconnectiondayton.wordpress.com/ But it does mention RSTE, once in text, once as a tag, and being local to Dayton, Ohio isn't a problem, and there may be some independent commentary.... a bit hard to tell. Other acts
[edit]A former drummer from The Pandoras is in a band signed to RSTE. Is this new band notable? Hard to tell without knowing the band name! Unlikely perhaps at this stage, but not impossible. Is this drummer notable? Hard to tell for the same reason. The Pandoras have four current members but sixteen former members, and only one of those twenty currently has an article linked from the infobox on their article, and that article cites only one secondary source... not speedy deletable, but possibly debatable. Does this confer notability on RSTE? Probably not. Only if there are sources that discuss this band and/or this drummer and also discuss RSTE.
Those sources are what is needed to establish notability for RSTE.
Reliance Code sources
[edit]Reliance Code in the spotlight Regional Music Journal no mention of RSTE as this EP was self released by Reliance Code before they signed to RSTE but may be a reliable source for Reliance Code. The band was with RSTE and the tour was set up by RSTE under the management of Phil Taylor Reliance Code was under RSTE label between November 2016 - December 2017 Manager was Phil Taylor http://www.regionalmusicjournal.com/2017/04/
https://www.downthefrontmedia.com/down-the-front-media/music-reviews/reliance-code-finding-your-way-out/ In November 2016, the band signed with Rock Solid Talent Entertainment Record Label in the UK and have since worked with multi-award winning producer and Grammy-nominated Alex Gerst on their new album ‘Finding Your Way Out’ released June 2017
From facebook messenger they are no longer with me... are they notable ? i have no idea they are a very new band just a few months old... yes finding your way out is our release. Andrewa (talk) 20:23, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
General comments on sources
[edit]What we are after is reliable secondary sources that discuss Rock Solid Talent Entertainment and give the views of a writer on that topic... that say something about Rock Solid Talent Entertainment that was written by the article writer, not just copied from a primary source.
Interviews with people connected with Rock Solid Talent Entertainment (hence RSTE) are only relevant if they are accompanied by some sort of commentary on RSTE. It's this commentary that is secondary. It might be imbedded in the interview, if the interviewer addresses the audience and gives their own views, ignoring for a moment the interviewee... some interviewers do this, and many people consider it rather rude! That's a difficult one to call.
Blogs are a bit tricky. Genuine, open blogs are useless, but some websites called blogs may be OK, see WP:UGC but note the exceptions. Andrewa (talk) 17:27, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
DRT
[edit]Charts that concentrate on downloads may be a challenge. It's even possible that Wikipedia is a bit out of date on this! I've sent one query on this, asking particularly about the Digital Radio Tracker website. Andrewa (talk) 17:39, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
Jamsphere
[edit]I don't think I'd use it to prove notability, but the site distributes a printed copy of the magazine worldwide, has specific named authors and cannot be updated by the man off the street. Therefore, I don't personally see an issue with it being used to cite basic facts from an interview, for example. (reply received at RS/N)
Other articles
[edit]Launchpad Records is currently possibly a deletable sub-stub, no inline citations at all, empty references section, a few external links, but links to quite a few notable artists associated with the label.
It was nominated for A7 speedy deletion in 2012 and was IMO lucky to survive, and another editor has commented to the effect that it was close on the article talk page. The decline rationale is interesting: A7 does not apply—that a notable person has released singles under Launchpad Records is an assertion of notability. This may apply to Rock Solid Talent Entertainment too.
The three speedies of the Rock Solid Talent Entertainment article were all A7s but two were also G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion, but that seems a stretch to me. That deleted article didn't seem to wikilink to any current Wikipedia articles on people associated with the organisation, that was probably the real difference. Andrewa (talk) 07:51, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
Street Soul Productions is probably closer to the mark. Unreferenced since Jan 2009, created by User:Happyinred who created two articles on record labels, this one in 2009 and a second at Genius Collective in 2012 which was almost immediately speedy deleted A7. User:Happyinred then disappeared. This article might easily be deleted too. Andrewa (talk) 16:04, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
INK Entertainment has been flagged as an advert since Feb 2016, it has a long reference list but the first at least is a primary source, possibly all of them are. Raised on its talk page. Andrewa (talk) 19:56, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
Cadillac Muzik is mostly based around Cashbox and very little sources that appear to be not reliable https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Muzik ~~
Current roster
[edit]From http://speedydeletion.wikia.com/wiki/Rock_Solid_Talent_Entertainment : Sophia Radisch, Drake Jensen, Paradox, Miss Crazy, Remains Of Jade, Patrick Arthur Gordon, Rixsta... only one has an article...
The Drake Jensen article lists his only label as Soaring Eagle Productions, another redlink.
Paradox (disambiguation) lists several different artists, but not the one in question. Andrewa (talk) 08:40, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

Conclusions
[edit]RSTE
[edit]It seems most unlikely that RSTE qualifies for an article. The main argument seems to be that there are other record labels which do have articles and are even less notable. The solution to this is to delete these other articles; It does not support creating one on RSTE. However it explains and justifies some of the confusion experienced by Phil Taylor and Sophia Radisch.
It would however not be helpful for either of them to propose these other articles for deletion. This would be at least arguably pointy and disruptive in my opinion, partly but not only in view of their earlier behaviour and sanctions. There is a clear COI.
I have indicated to Phil Taylor that I am happy to follow up on any articles he brings to my attention, and have posted on the talk page of one of them already.
Another of these articles has already survived an A7 speedy delete proposal, see #Other articles, with a decline comment A7 does not apply—that a notable person has released singles under Launchpad Records is an assertion of notability, however no RSTE related artists currently have articles so this argument does not seem to apply. Andrewa (talk) 20:35, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
Sophia Radisch
[edit]It seems possible that Sophia Radisch qualifies for an article in practice, but not according to current guidelines.
The Cashbox charts on which she has charted seem to be behind a paywall which is not a show-stopper but makes things far more difficult, and there is concern about the Digital Radio Tracker technology and charts on which they are currently based. However these charts do seem to indicate notability just as much as other charts which are currently listed at Wikipedia:Record charts as acceptable. It is not obvious that any other chart is available to measure the notability of the artist as indicated by this airplay.
This requires further discussion. The artist herself has indicated that she wishes no further contact with Wikipedia, which is understandable, see #Sophia Radisch backstory. BLP must be strictly followed of course. Andrewa (talk) 22:05, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
