Thomas Fischer is a German academic and Associate Professor at the University of Geneva, specializing in Management and Leadership Studies. He is known for his research on leadership styles, ethical leadership, and abusive supervision.[1]
Academic career
[edit]Fischer holds a PhD in Economics with a focus on management from the University of Lausanne.[1] He also earned a master's degree in Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich and bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Business Administration from the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt in Germany.[1] Fischer is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Geneva.[1] He serves as the Yearly Review Editor for The Leadership Quarterly, where he has co-edited several special issues on leadership theory and methodology.[2]
Impact and recognition
[edit]Fischer received the Best Paper Award from The Leadership Quarterly in 2021 for his research on ethical leadership.[3] His study on abusive supervision was recognized as the first runner-up for the Best Paper Award by The Leadership Quarterly.[1]
