Churn

[edit]

In its original home at Visible spectrum, this table has seen a lot of churn, with repeated edits tweaking the boundaries of the colors back and forth, often not bothering to change the THz and eV values to match. I suggest that any changes to this table ought to be discussed on the talk page first.

Since the bounds of the spectrum are a particular cause of churn, I'll cite the following from Visible spectrum:

A typical human eye will respond to wavelengths from about 380 to about 750 nanometers.[1] In terms of frequency, this corresponds to a band in the vicinity of 400–790 THz. These boundaries are not sharply defined and may vary per individual.[2]
