Created {{sortname ill}}

[edit]

I created {{sortname ill}} for using an interlanguage link instead of a standard link in {{sortname}}. I would have thought that this should be integrated in {{sortname}} by adding a language parameter, but the result of this archived discussion seemed to be that that wouldn’t be a good idea. If you feel this need should be filled in a different manner, please let me know. Joriki (talk) 22:30, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lua Version of {{sort}} and {{sortname}}

[edit]

I implemented the {{sort}} and {{sortname}} templates as new sort and name functions in Module:Sort/sandbox and switched {{sort/sandbox}} and {{sortname/sandbox}} to use this module. This will allow the module to be accessed directly to reduce the post-expand include size of pages with large sortable tables. If there is no objection, I'll copy this code to the main Module:Sort module and switch the main {{sort}} and {{sortname}} templates over to use the module as well. --Ahecht (TALK

@Ahecht: - Template:Sortname (talk page redirects here) and that template is using the sandbox version. Christian75 (talk) 06:45, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No documented parameters in Visual Editor

[edit]

I typically use Visual Editor, and I've used {{sort}} in the past without any issues, but recently, when I try to use it, I'm told there are no documented parameters and thus, cannot effectively use it without switching to Source Editor. Any clues on how to fix this issue? Any help is appreciated! Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 02:32, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
