Timezone

[edit]

Is there any handy way to change this to a local timezone?

Meekohi 00:21, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I would appreciate this feature as well. ~ PaulT+/C 20:35, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Accessed

[edit]

I suggest a way to include this (subst:ed) in the web references of the articles.

Example

[edit]

<ref>[http://www.unep.org/wed/2008 WED 2008 official website] , [http://www.unep.org/Documents.Multilingual/Default.asp?DocumentID=519&ArticleID=5677&l=en UNEP Press Release, 2007-10-01, "Kick the Habit - World Environment Day 2008 to be Hosted by New Zealand with Focus on Fostering Low-Carbon Economies"], accessed [[2007-11-10]] 11:10 [[UTC]] </ref>

The template {{accessed}} would include "accessed" and the today date and time.

See "accessdate". ~ PaulT+/C 20:17, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

The templates rightnow and rightnow_British as downright POV terms. DD/MM are not necessarily British usage. I hope they are properly renamed. =Nichalp «Talk»= 10:06, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{Right now}} adheres to the preferences of the user viewing the page, so {{Right now British}} has been nominated for speedy deletion, as duplicate static content.

{{editprotected}}

  1. requesting to edit the see also section, to indicate that {{Right now}} adheres to the preferences of the user viewing the page
  2. The removal of {{Right now British}} from the see also section.
  3. The removal of {{Now2}} from the see also section on the basis of that template being a test page.
  4. The adddition of {{Plain now}} to the see also section.
  5. The addition of a documentation sub-page.

Please put your changes in the sandbox and I'll be happy to sync the pages when you re-enable the editprotected request. --MZMcBride (talk) 07:40, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{editprotected}}

The See also section contains links to Template:Right now British and Template:now2 that were deleteted, so these links should be removed. Svick (talk) 22:34, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. — RockMFR 22:49, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delinking dates

[edit]

{{editprotected}} Shouldn't we delink the dates here per WP:MOSUNLINKDATES? Keep the UTC link, though. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 20:40, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Are you suggesting
The current date and time is 24 November, 2024 T 02:45 UTC
I'd support this, unless others see other issues...? Skier Dude (talk 05:59, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's what I am suggesting. However, what is that "T" between year and time? — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 11:47, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the proposal to unlink. However, since this is a very widely used template I am leaving it for a while to see whether anyone expresses disagreement. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:30, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I thought WP:MOSUNLINKDATES was only meant for articles.. looks like this template is primarily used on user pages, so I'm not sure what unlinking it will accomplish anyway, for all we know the majority of users that use this template on their userpage like it this way and want the date to be linked. -- œ 09:59, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think you may well be right, so I am declining this edit request. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:38, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
