There seems to be some confusion in the various article pages defining the nomenclature of the different radio bands. The IEEE designators are explicitly for radar (see: IEEE Standard 521-2002) and the designations in this standard are HF, VHF, UHF, L, S, C, X, Ku, K, Ka, V and W. I'm in the process of tidying up the various radio band pages, so I have started with this template, in order that it correctly defines the IEEE (radar) bands. ITU Band Definitions: The only "legal" set of definitions for radio frequency bands are those set out in Article 2 of the ITU's Radio Regulations (RR No. 2.1, Edition of 2004). Therefore I've added these into the template too. I'll create some appropriate linked pages from the additions to the template. MarkPos 14:35, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The links to NATO Radio bands, IEEE Radar bands are broken. The article is still there, but the chapters where these links refer to have been removed. Panic1 (talk) 08:27, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
