Add parameters for the TV franchises
[edit]Can we add in parameters/text so we can convert the indicators at Marvel's ABC television series, Marvel's Netflix television series, and Marvel's young adult television series to this template? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 14:52, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
TV actors page move

MS tag not appearing
[edit]The MS not is not appearing at Marvel's Netflix television series even though I added it to the template. I gave a quick look over, and I'm not sure why that is, seeing as it should be a similar occurance to the template's use at List of Marvel Cinematic Universe television series actors (Marvel Television). Anyone have any thoughts? Have we done something weird with the switch cases? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:33, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

Wrapper
[edit]Is it possible to rework this template so that it is a WP:WRAPPER of {{Cast indicator}} rather than an out-of-sync fork? (Unless the differences are so vast it would not be feasible or beneficial to do so.) InfiniteNexus (talk) 23:10, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hm, I don't know how wrappers work, and I don't know how to correctly add tags to the already existing {{Cast indicator}}. The main issue would be that ideally the tags should be in alphabetical order, and if we were to add tags they would necessarily be placed below all those already included in the standard cast indicator. Perhaps if we could add a sorting method, either to this template or to the original, by which it put the tags in alphabetical order regardless of the order in which they coded, it could work. I don't know if it would be beneficial, though. —El Millo (talk) 00:30, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- I think we have too much MCU-specific note wording for a wrapper to function as intended. We wouldn't be able to do all of that while making a template call to {{Cast indicator}}. When I have more time, if I remember and put my brain to it, it might be possible, but I don't think it is. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:56, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
General variant tag
[edit]I've made a general variant tag (VAR) in the sandbox currently. The intent was to use it for characters that aren't from 616 (thinking about one person in the Marvels mid credits). They should be tagged, which then in turn probably mean there are other characters we would need to use this tag on. Is this overkill? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:39, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
Adding 10005 tag?
[edit]Similar to Earth-838 and 617 when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released, should we add a tag to reference Earth-10005 which was recently established in Deadpool & Wolverine? It would be for Deadpool and the Deadpool cast members as well as Laura/X-23 I think. Not sure about Pyro or Sabretooth because I don't know if they're the same. - I still would be in favor of just a general "variant" tag as I suggested above. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:42, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- If we were to do new tags for every single alternate universe introduced, that would become needlessly excessive over time. I agree that a general "variant" tag would be a more viable option. Trailblazer101 (talk) 01:24, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- It shouldn't be variant because it has the specific meaning in Loki that isn't just any alternate version, we should find another term for it. —El Millo (talk) 03:10, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, whatever we want it to be, be it "AV" (alternate version) or whatever. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:58, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- I've updated the sandbox to have the generic template be "ALT". You can see how it appears in the testcases. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:13, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- I like this. Trailblazer101 (talk) 21:59, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose adding a tag for every universe. Gonnym (talk) 09:37, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
