Template applies to article but points back to different template

[edit]

I have this problem with Bash article. Latest stable software release/Bash is used in the article, but [+/-] sign points to Latest stable software release/Bash (Unix shell). It most likely happened because the article changed its title at some point. I could probably easily fix it by moving the template under new link, but that would break all other articles that use the template. What is the best solution here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by K4rolB (talkcontribs) 19:24, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Small must be removed

[edit]

By including small in this template, it violates MOS:ACCESS, specifically MOS:SMALLTEXT, Avoid using smaller font sizes within elements that already use a smaller font size, such as infoboxes, navboxes, and reference sections. This means that <small>...</small> tags, and templates such as {{small}} and {{smaller}}, should not be applied to plain text within those elements. In no case should the resulting font size of any text drop below 85% of the page's default font size (i.e. 11.9 px in Vector skin or 10.8 px in Monobook). The font size is too small. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 02:30, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I also fixed {{LPR}}, which had the same accessibility problem. Small text was displaying at 75% of the default font size in the infobox. – Jonesey95 (talk) 02:34, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Option to use / instead of brackets to separate release date and release version?

[edit]

I feel like that would help with consistency especially when used in conjunction with Template:Multiple releases Nathanielcwm (talk) 08:59, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Error: Preview and article do not produce the same result.

[edit]

The template LSR, such as:

{{LSR | article = Linux | latest release version = 5.13 | latest release date = {{Start date and age|2021|06|27|df=yes}} }}

does not produce the same result in preview like a live article.

In preview it shows the correct day difference (today (2021-07-06): "9 days ago"), But it shows Template:Latest stable software release/Linux ("1 day ago") instead, as it were 28 June 2021 today. Go, edit the previous link and check it out!

Resolved
It was a purge problem -- ZH8000 (talk) 20:07, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think this template should able to detect whether {{Wikidata}} is used to display version number and date, to my eyes, if {{Wikidata}} is used, this template should hide the [±] link. --Great Brightstar (talk) 15:12, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
