Rfc template: new params, revise
[edit]{{Infobox astronomical survey}} needs:
- to display content of
|name=
on top of infobox, which it currently does not - rename caption to image_caption and used param "caption" for title-caption (as just mentioned above)
- new param status (e.g. active)
- new param "from"
- new param "to"
- new param "location"
There are several more parameters, e.g. for notable outcomes/results that could be added. Rfassbind – talk 16:30, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Rfassbind: Just noticed your comment here. "Name" shows up on top of the infobox. "caption" is the default for the image caption. I don't understand your suggestion of a title-caption? We now have "from" and "to" (as "started" and "ended"), do we need "status" as well as that should be obvious from the presence of "started" but the absence of "ended"? What are you envisaging for "location"? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 15:39, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Mike,
|name=
: "Name" shows up on top of the infobox. Great.- rename
|caption=
to|image_caption=
: probably not very helpful if "caption" is the correct default name - rename
|status=
: yes it is certainly somewhat redundant, unless the exact date or even just the year of "ended" is unknown... |location=
I think what I envisioned was the location where the survey has been conducted at (if the instrument/observatory is has been used for other purposes, i.e. is not a dedicated one).
- Thx for your feed-back and the (partial) implementation of my suggestions. I've completely forgotten about this half-year old post. Best, Rfassbind – talk 21:29, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks @Rfassbind:. I've been using "observations" in the same way as you were thinking "location" might be used. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 09:55, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Mike,
