L'Eplattenier helmet in wrong section

[edit]

The L'Eplattenier helmet is not a medieval or early modern helmet. It's a World War I era prototype helmet that wasn't mass-produced for the Swiss army as was originally hoped for. I'm editing the template to add it to 20th century helmets. --ZemplinTemplar (talk) 17:35, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Sutton Hoo helmet

[edit]

Hey @Mlpearc:, I see you reverted my addition of the Sutton Hoo helmet to the template, and then reverted your reversion. My bad if I didn't add in sufficient explanation before adding it in the first place. Is there anything else I should do to make the Sutton Hoo helmet a part of this? Thanks! --Usernameunique (talk) 02:58, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No, that was my error, sorry. Happy editing :) - Mlpearc (open channel) 03:05, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Helmet fragments

[edit]

There are a few articles on helmet fragments that I have created that are not included in this template. They are:

Does anyone have an opinion on whether, or how to, include these articles in the template? One option would be to include them with the "Individual historical helmets" by location name (e.g., "Guilden Mornden", "Gevninge", and "Horncastle"). A second option would be to indicate with the link that they are fragmentary (e.g., "Gevninge fragment" and "Horncastle fragment"). A third option would be to include them as a subsection of "Individual historical helmets" (e.g., in the way that "Ancient" is a subsection of "Combat"). And of course, a fourth option would be to not include them in the template. My preference is probably towards the first or third option, but I would be interested to hear what anybody else thinks. For what it's worth, there are a few more (3 that I can think of, maybe more) that I intend on creating at some point. --Usernameunique (talk) 04:22, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Woodensuperman, thanks for added the Gevninge and Tjele fragments. I've added the others, with the same naming convention. --Usernameunique (talk) 15:20, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
