Template talk:FeaturedTopicSum
{{Editprotected}} Can some admin change the 4 in {{FeaturedTopicSum}} to a 3? This will raise the percentage of featured content that topics require to be featured, as opposed to good, from 25% to 33%. Which was a change that was endorsed here - rst20xx (talk) 15:22, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- Done As it seems consensus was formed in that discussion. Let me know if that breaks anything. --CapitalR (talk) 21:32, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

{{Editprotected}} Can someone change the code in this template to:
{{#ifexpr:{{PAGESINCATEGORY:Wikipedia featured topics {{{1}}} featured content}} > 1|{{#ifexpr:({{PAGESINCATEGORY:Wikipedia featured topics {{{1}}} featured content}}*2) > ({{PAGESINCATEGORY:Wikipedia featured topics {{{1}}}}} + {{PAGESINCATEGORY:Wikipedia featured topics {{{1}}} good content}} - 3)|{{{2}}}|{{{3}}} }}|{{{3}}}}}<noinclude> [[Category:Wikipedia featured topics templates|Featured Topic Sum]] </noinclude>
This code is equivalent to what is there at the moment, but uses PAGESINCATEGORY four times instead of five, and hence reduces the number of expensive parser calls the template makes. This is a problem because a page can only make 500 expensive parser calls, and at the moment WP:GT, which transcludes this template a large number of times, is making over 500 - rst20xx (talk) 03:27, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
