Commentary request

[edit]

A request for commentary on this new template was posted at New deletion review template Template:Delrevafd on 17:49, 30 September 2008. -- Suntag 15:36, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Displayed date arrangement

[edit]

The date displayed by the template is arranged as Year Month and Day. However, the date arrangement displayed by ~~~~ is Day Month Year. To make it easier to compare the date of the AfD close and the date the discussion was listed at DRV, is it possible to change the template so that the date displayed is arranged as Day Month Year to match the date displayed by ~~~~? (To see what I mean, take a look at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Fred_R._Klenner.) Thanks. -- Suntag 15:32, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not really, unless you want it to need to take three parameters for the date. {{CURRENTYEAR}} {{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTDAY}} is the format used to identify DRV log pages, so that's how the date parameter needs to be formated. There might be a way to request a {{alphabetize: magic word, though (or there might already be one), which could work. Cheers. lifebaka++ 15:45, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DRV outcome parameter

[edit]

I propose adding a parameter for the DRV outcome. It would be slightly easier for the reader, rather than requiring clicking through, and would provide a standardized procedure for annotating DRV'd AfDs. Flatscan (talk) 04:01, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

page param purpose

[edit]

What is the page parameter for, if it's put in and not left blank? That should be in the documentation, probably along with inclusion in the example. (I don't know, or I probably would have edited the documentation myself.) Thanks. Nick Levinson (talk) 04:12, 10 January 2011 (UTC) (Corrected comma: 04:18, 10 January 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Cunard's revision

[edit]

Cunard, if you make that edit, there is no way to distinguish whether the discussion on that page is being reviewed, or whether the template is merely providing a history. This is an important distinction. A separate template may be necessary to accomplish your aim. --Bsherr (talk) 00:54, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
