If empty template

@Find bruce: you might find Template:If empty useful when dealing with multiple alternate parameters or aliases which can be passed into cite templates. You can write things like:

| title        = {{if empty |{{{name|}}} |{{{title|}}} }}

| access-date  = {{if empty |{{{access-date|}}} |{{{accessdate|}}} }}

The first non-empty parameter is returned in each case, or nothing if all of them are empty or missing.

It's not much of a gain here, but in future you might find useful the ability to specify as many alternate parameters or aliases as you want. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 16:09, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
