Template-protected edit request on 6 April 2024

[edit]

Please remove the __NOINDEX__ template since drafts and user namespaces are not indexed. If you disagree, let me know. Toadette (Let's talk together!) 06:42, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Are draftspace and userspace always noindexed without this template? Has someone read the code in the operations config repo to confirm it? –Novem Linguae (talk) 17:18, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
AFAIK User: namespace is indexed by default. Certainly my own user page turned up in somebody else's Google search before I made this edit. The situation may have changed since. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 17:47, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd recommend that we decline this edit request then. The AFC submission template is sometimes used in userspace sandboxes. And if the status quo is to always noindex drafts, we should probably maintain that. –Novem Linguae (talk) 18:47, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
 Not done * Pppery * it has begun... 16:50, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What if something goes wrong?🤨

[edit]
If a draft on Wikipedia can’t AfC submit

well what if something goes wrong with submitting? Atlas Þə Biologist (talk) 22:34, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Description of suggested change: The text of the link to the notability criteria in the web declination statement states it links to the notability criteria for websites. But, this declination statement and the linked WP:NWEB guideline is used for all web-based content, not just websites. The updated text should reduce confusion when declining a submission that is web-based but not a website.

This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of websites). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
