Colour
[edit]Can someone who is familiar with the code add parameters to change the colour of different boxes? Thanks. -- Jeff3000 21:15, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- How exactly do you want the colours changed? One seperate parameter for each of the 14 slots? A seperate colour for each round? Or one single parameter that changes the color of the boxes throughout the entire table? What exactly do you want the parameters to do? Zzyzx11 (Talk) 22:12, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was thinking in regards to the 2006 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships in which there is a cross-over from each group. So I thought it would be nice to be able to have a different colour for the teams from each group. This would involve, however allowing each slot to have it's own colour, since teams from any group could advance to the semi-finals and finals. So I can see it being a headache, and if it is, don't worry about it. -- Jeff3000 22:43, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Team-width only for first round?
[edit]I've tried setting the team width but it only affects the first round teams - please see CMLL Torneo Gran Alternativa for what I mean. Anyone have an idea why it's like this? MPJ-DK (No Drama) Talk 20:43, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- You need to specify the units with this parameter. E.g.
team-width=300px
, not justteam-width=300
. But in either case, it is much better to specify widths in em spaces instead of pixel count, so that it scales with the current browser font size. (e.g.team-width=15em
. Hope this helps — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 21:55, 2 September 2009 (UTC)- Yes that was very helpful, fixed it right up. THank you. MPJ-DK (No Drama) Talk 01:39, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
No Seeds
[edit]Is there a way to make this bracket operate without a box for seeds? For example, in 4TeamBracket and 2TeamBracket, if you don't include a seed number, there is no box for seed. In 8TeamBracket, if you don't include your own seeds, it automatically assigns teams seeds 1-8. There doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of the box for seeds. For an example, see: Maui Invitational Tournament, as those brackets should not have any seeds.70.176.52.96 (talk) 22:40, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Help adapting this template
[edit]I'm looking to make a template with 6 teams (2 play-in games to face the top two teams) with each round being determined by three games each. However, I'm totally lost when trying to edit the code. Can anyone help? --Kevin W./Talk•CFB uniforms/Talk 22:28, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure exactly what you intended to do. The general template that displays six teams with the top two getting byes is Template:6TeamBracket. But if each round is determined by three games, like several tennis tournaments, Template:6TeamBracket-Tennis3 may be closer to what you would like. Zzyzx11 (talk) 02:53, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, that's perfect. Thank you so much! --Kevin W./Talk•CFB uniforms/Talk 03:09, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
How to add match details
[edit]I'd like to implement one of these brackets into a project where the league is currently in their postseason, more specifically in 2017 Champions Indoor Football season, however, I'd like to include matchup details, like date and match location. How would I go about including such information without creating an entirely new template? I'd also like to expand this question to include the other generic brackets of varying sizes, i.e. 4, 6, 12, 16, etc. in case of use in other leagues where their playoffs are different. New code
[edit]I have switched this template over to use new backend code. there should be no significant changes in appearance/functionality. please let me know if you see any problems so I can fix any bugs. thank you. Frietjes (talk) 18:07, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
How to add a replay
[edit]Wondering how to use this template if, for instance, a semi-final is replayed after a draw? Or is there another template to use? Thanks. Bob247 (talk) 13:28, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
