- New enough in mainspace and long enough. No textual issues, and QPQ present. Two things worth noting, one of which likely requires a hook change:
- When I see "had an undefeated season", usually that means a title game as well, but they lost the section championship. They did, however, have an undefeated regular season. Adding the word regular is probably necessary for the hooks at ALT0 and ALT2.
- I note that the article title may need disambiguation, as there is a Paradise High School in Texas. However, due to the fire, this may have become the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC.
- Please ping me when the above is addressed. Raymie (t • c) 18:04, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- Adding a ping for @MelanieN:. Raymie (t • c) 18:05, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Raymie: Thanks for the comments. I have added "regular" to the two hooks that require it. As for Paradise High School in Texas, yes, I was aware of it, but it does not currently have a Wikipedia article so I didn't think disambiguation was necessary. If an article gets created for it at some point, then they should have (California) and (Texas) added to the titles.
- Do you have a preference for which hook should be used? -- MelanieN (talk) 18:25, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- With the fixes made, ALT0 or ALT1, but they all work. Raymie (t • c) 18:43, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Raymie: Thanks. Just an update: I located the article about the school in Texas! It is covered under Paradise Independent School District. So I added a DAB hatnote to this article, and no parenthetical is needed in either title. -- MelanieN (talk) 19:04, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- That district did look small, so that's a good choice. Raymie (t • c) 19:05, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- I did some cleanup in the article, adding NCES stats and logo etc. The reason I moved the text to a new History section was because when I first looked at the article, it just looked a bit strange with a huge blob of text, but the article looks good; an interesting read, good work MelanieN. Would it be worth linking the relevant text such as for ALT0, "burned out of their homes the year before" to Camp Fire (2018)? Steven (Editor) (talk) 04:27, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the improvements, and the suggestion. I agree that the Camp Fire should be linked, and I have added it to all three hooks. I should have thought of that myself; the hook will certainly make people want to know more about why/how the town was destroyed or the players were burned out of their homes. -- MelanieN (talk) 23:27, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

- I'd love to see this run 12/25. This is a great Christmas story. John from Idegon (talk) 10:26, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
