Moses Brown (basketball)

[edit]
  • ... that after playing in high school with the son of a former NBA first-round pick, basketball player Moses Brown joined an incoming UCLA class that includes the son of a Basketball Hall of Famer? Source: "Together, Moses Brown and Cole Anthony form one of the best duos to ever play at Archbishop Molloy ... For Anthony, the son of former NBA first-round pick and Knick Greg Anthony, ..."New York Daily News, "The 6-foot-10, 220-pound O’Neal, the son of former Lakers great and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, is the final member of a six-man freshman class that also includes ... centers Moses Brown and Kenneth Nwuba." • Article was new at time of nomation, long enough, and within policy... hook is interesting, within policy, and under 200 words... no image... awaiting QPQ. Runningibis (talk) 17:36, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
  • The hook seems to be about everyone but the subject. Yoninah (talk) 02:47, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that basketball player Moses Brown is the top-ranked player in a UCLA incoming class that also includes the son of a Basketball Hall of Famer? Source: "We move to the No. 24 overall recruit, UCLA's Moses Brown ... a five-star recruit for the Bruins ..." (others are four-star or lower or ranked lower per RSCI) SI.com, "The 6-foot-10, 220-pound O’Neal, the son of former Lakers great and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, is the final member of a six-man freshman class that also includes ... centers Moses Brown and Kenneth Nwuba." Los Angeles Times
    @Yoninah: I've added ALT1 for consideration.—Bagumba (talk) 06:24, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
  • @Bagumba: thank you. But maybe you want to mention the association between them, as a promising pair in the school's history? Perhaps add another sentence based on the sources? Yoninah (talk) 12:39, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
@Yoninah: Can you clarify the "association" that you are referring to? Perhaps you are mistaking this hook about his college teammate, Shareef O'Neal, with Brown's high school pairing with former teammate Cole Anthony. If you meant to combine both, I'm struggling to come up with a hook within the 200-character limit.—Bagumba (talk) 12:50, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
  • @Bagumba: Sorry, I wasn't looking at his college career. Yes, ALT1 works, and is verified and cited inline. I removed some repetition ("basketball player" ... "player" ... "basketball hall of fame") from the hook. Rest of review per Runningibis. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 12:56, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
