Template:Cite Ukrainian law/doc

This template is used to reference Ukrainian laws, including laws passed by the Ukrainian Parliament and Presidential decrees.

Syntax

Usage

• type is the type of law it is (law passed by the Parliament, Presidential decrees, etc.).
• number is used to signify the law's number (XXth Presidential decree, etc.).
• law is used for indicating the document's number (for use in the URL).
• name is to be used for the law's name
• date is the date the law was passed by the Parliament or ordered by a Presidential decree.

Parameter data hints

For |date=, use the top-most bold date given on the document header page. This might be called the date of accession (Приєднання) or adoption (Прийняття). Do not use the date of enforcement (Набрання чинності), which is the latest date given, or the date registered (Зареєстровано), or the date of signing (Дата підписання) for treaties, which is likely the earliest.

However, sometimes treaty/agreement ratification (Ратифікація) is a different document than the one of interest. If necessary use a |orig-date= parameter for the date in which the agreement document was finalized and |date= for when it was ratified.

To Do

• Debug parameters for null values as seen above. Not all documents are given numbers for non-electronic lookup.
• Legislation is published in the official weekly journal Відомості Верховної Ради України (ВВР), which can be an alternate citation.
• Add support for user-override URLs, translated titles, and other CS1|2 params.
  • Consider reworking template as a CS1|2 wrapper.
