Hi,
I work with Young Sohn and was hoping someone could make the following edits. As I understand it, I can't or shouldn't make these edits because of my COI.
- Add an infobox to the page.
- Add a picture to that infobox, from https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?sort=relevance&search=sohn+samsung&title=Special:Search&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&advancedSearch-current=%7B%7D&ns0=1&ns6=1&ns12=1&ns14=1&ns100=1&ns106=1
- Add information about Co-Founding Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), a startup competition for entrepreneurs addressing global challenges.
- Add an Awards and recognition section, with
- KACF Corporate Honoree, with https://kacfsf.org/2019-annual-gala-honorees or http://m.koreatimes.com/article/20190506/1246026 as a source
- AAMA Trail Blazer Award, with https://befast.tv/aama-gala-2019-red-carpet-interviews/ or https://www.aamasv.com/pages/aamas-40th-anniversary-gala-october-8-2019 as a source

- Hi,
- Happy to help. You might want to consider creating a Wikipedia user page, which you can do here
- Infobox is an easy fix. I'll add that. Implemented
- Same with picture Implemented
- It looks like only Cheddar has Sohn as a founder, so I'll use that one. The others just talk about him being a judge, unless I'm missing something. (Used Cheddar and The Verge) Implemented
- I'll check for precedent for the Awards section, but those sources look fine. Implemented

The awards seem reasonable to me. Snappytimez (talk) 19:53, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
- Cool, how about this? Tagging 160.72.96.42
- In 2019, Sohn was honored with a Trail Blazer award at the Asia America Multitechnology Association 40th anniversary dinner and with a Corporate Leader Award by the Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco.
- --FeldBum (talk) 20:18, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- That works, thank you! Can you also add some context for XTC, like "a nonprofit startup competition that aims to address United Nation's 17 Sustainability Goals" -160.72.96.42 (talk) 20:38, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Sure. Changed to "United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals," for punctuation and the canonical name of the initiative. Found https://www.alphagamma.eu/opportunities/extreme-tech-challenge-2020/ as a source. --FeldBum (talk) 04:55, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Can someone help me with a few more edits to this page?
- In the Samsung section, after “vehicle industry,” add “Following the acquisition, Sohn became chairman of the board of directors of Harman.”
- Sources are https://www.channelnews.com.au/new-ceo-president-of-harman-unanimously-elected/, https://techcrunch.com/2017/09/14/samsung-launches-300m-autonomous-driving-fund-puts-90m-into-tttech/, and https://www.forbes.com/sites/dougnewcomb/2016/11/15/interview-samsung-president-on-8b-harman-acquisition-and-what-it-means-for-both-companies/?sh=26731c6d79e2
- At the end of that section, add “In July 2020, Sohn led a $14 series B million investment into genomics startup Genome Medical, via Samsung’s Catalyst Fund.”
- Sources is https://www.cnet.com/health/samsung-invests-in-genomic-telehealth-company-as-the-coronavirus-rages-on/
- In that section, add “Add “In 2017, Sohn launched the $300m Samsung Automotive Innovation Fund, to focus on connected car investments.”
- I found a source for Candence. Can you add https://www.techtaffy.com/cadence-elects-samsungs-young-k-sohn-to-board/
- I also found one for Bitfury: https://cointelegraph.com/news/samsung-electronics-president-and-cso-young-sohn-joins-bitfurys-strategic-advisory-board
- And another better one for XTC: https://www.calcalistech.com/ctech/articles/0,7340,L-3839941,00.html
- Add “Sohn is chairman of the Global Corporate Venturing leadership society, a membership organization for corporate venture capitalist”

- Please see my comment on your talk page. GSS 💬 16:04, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hey LeannaTruong. Made those edits. I rewrote and put where it made most sense. I'm not sure what you mean by "better source for XTC" so I just added it. I think there are more than enough cites there now. --FeldBum (talk) 21:05, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hey FeldBum. Thank you very much for your help. These edits look great. LeannaTruong (talk) 15:43, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
