Dear @ताज:. Thank you for fixing the Tamil script. Regarding your last change on the script, I agree with the lack of separate characters for voiced and aspirated phoneme in Tamil. In conventional spiritual/religious books in Tamil containing Sanskrit mantras and shlokas, the Tamil script would normally contain the numbers 2 and 4 in superscript to indicate the second and fourth sound of that series of consonant, respectively. However, in normal works (other than those containing religious shlokas/mantras) these notations are seldom used. Thus, we can simply use it without the superscript numbers in this context. And regarding the use of ஃ at the end, as far as my knowledge goes, a colon is used instead (rather than ஃ) to denote the sound "ha" at the end. Thus, the correct transliterated Tamil version would be "யதோ தர்மஸ்ததோ ஜய:". Even if you insist on using the superscript 4, the Tamil script for this would then be "யதோ த⁴ர்மஸ்ததோ ஜய:" (and not "யதோ த⁴ர்மஸ்ததோ ஜயஃ"). Using ஃ would make the phrase sound something like "Yato Dharmastato Jayak". Maybe we can check with other native users here. Thanks. Rasnaboy (talk) 04:03, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
