Question: 'Is 'Yask Gotra' in Deshasta Brahmin and the article 'Yask' related?'

Merging

[edit]

Looking at both articles I'd say merging was a good idea. The Yaska page really only deals with his Nirukta, not with the man himself - do we actually know anything about him anyway other than his published works? Perhaps his life would fit better under a discussion of Mimamsa philosophy? mahaabaala (talk) 18:08, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I feel that two pages for Yaska and Nirukta are necessary. There is further scope for developing Yaska, by adding the biographical details of Yaska and if the page is merged with Nirukta(which is the name of work/book written by him), the details of the author will be lost.Rayabhari (talk) 20 June 2012
