Yao Haoua → Haoua Yao – Haoua is the first name (same as Haoua Kessely and Haoua Issa articles), derived from Hawa, and Yao is the last name (same as Oubkiri Marc Yao and Kenneth Yao articles, among others).--MonFrontieres (talk) 23:34, 18 December 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. - Oppose - this nomination is pure OR and completely unsupported by sources. Soccerway, WorldFootball and (most importantly) FIFA all confirm that her first name is Yao and her surname is Haoua or Faroty Haoua. GiantSnowman 13:29, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: Like many other times, you are opposing my request with sources that, important as they are, do not always have the correct information. For example, that FIFA source you quoted also says that Vânia Cristina Martins' last name is "Cristina Martins" when in reality "Cristina" is her middle name. Please, see this FIFA source. Here, all four Burkinabé footballers who have played for Equatorial Guinea at the 2006 African Women's Championship had their first and last names reversed. That is: Salimata Simporé features there as "SALIMATA, Simpore", Bilguisa Simporé as "BILGUISA, Simpore", Haoua Tou as "HAOUA, Tou" and Haoua Yao (this article subject) as "HAOUA, Yao". Now, compare that with the other squad members who feature there (a mix of Equatoguinean natives with naturalized players coming from Nigeria and Cameroon) and also compare that with this CAF source (page 3), where Yao and the Simporé duo have their family and first names in the correct columns. Other source about Yao's fullname.Footofeminin (2008) Also, note that in those competitions those Burkinabé players were using Equatorial Guinea passports, which did not necessarily have their full names registered in the same way as they appeared in their original Burkinabé documents. About Farota (not Faroty), that is a nickname given to Yao by her fellow Burkinabé compatriots.[1][2]. To end all this, silence gives consent. My responses were originally written on 20 December 2020 and yet I did not get any response from you. I hope that the admin closing this article name change request doesn't just make a decision based solely on your vote. Regards.--MonFrontieres (talk) 22:39, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
