If you actually listen to the song, it swings like a doo-wop song. The prominent parts of the accompaniment are the background vocals and the thumping upright bass, and the rhythm guitar is indistinct and muddy. The guitar solos are classic early rock (repeated triplets on the tonic of the chord), but the song doesn't sound rock or guitar-based at all. Rocket 88, on the other hand, has a boogie-woogie bassline played on fuzztone electric guitar, a cleaner, rawer beat, and if they had used a guitar solo instead of the sax section, would sound like Chuck Berry. And Little Walter rocked harder than both of them put together, but didn't really get the white audience at the time.24.17.178.36 (talk) 03:31, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
