Proposed move

The result of the proposal was no consensus to move. This may need further discussion further along into the rebranding.Cúchullain t/c 15:15, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Windows Live Contacts → People (Microsoft service) –The name I am suggesting is only a working title, as I'm sure someone else could think of something better to go within the brackets and I'd welcome your suggestions. However, Windows Live Contacts is now changing to People, so this article should change with it. Cloudbound (talk) 21:53, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
- Support - Makes sense. And the brackets also seems to be the right fit to disambiguate, at least for now. With the rebrand, one suggestion would be to expand the article a little to include details about the People app for Windows 8, as well as People hub in Windows Phone. (for example, the ability to add other social networks to Microsoft account, and link these contacts and view status updates about them in People.) --Damaster98 (talk) 00:18, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose - for now, as the re-brand is not complete, and even after will still be commonly called by the old name during a transition period. Also, as it will still be part of Windows Live do not see Microsoft service as a good disambiguation, Windows Live People, or People (Windows Live), maybe. We should wait and see what the common name will be for this.--Education does not equal common sense. 我不在乎 01:43, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Just a quick comment regarding People (Windows Live) - we all know that Windows Live is being rebranded, so the new "People" website, apps and hubs doesn't actually have anything to do with the Windows Live brand, which makes it an inappropriate disambiguation. --Damaster98 (talk) 01:51, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Right, like I said, let's wait and see what sticks. This is a premature move at this time.--Education does not equal common sense. 我不在乎 02:05, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

So I linked to the Windows Phone (pre-bundled) application
[edit]But I don't know if this article exclusively concerns the web app or may also include the Windows and Windows Phone service. Sincerely, --Namlong618 (talk) 10:36, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Outlook People
[edit]I renamed the article, as the service has been updated (currently in limited preview). I recently got into the preview and you can read more about that here and here
- Please also include these sources in the body of the article, not everyone who reads an article will go to the talk page, so please add them as references. --Hoang the Hoangest (talk) 01:47, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Greetings, folks. Our fellow Wikipedian User:Ians18 has made a number of edits to this article that are disputed. A discussion is currently held in Talk:Outlook.com § Discussion.
To summarize it, he thinks Outlook.com, Calendar (Microsoft service) and People (Microsoft service) are definitely and without doubt are becoming Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar and Outlook People that are parts of Outlook Web App / Outlook on the web right now. I think they haven't and we should wait and see. Microsoft has a tall history of changing its mind midway.
