Lady Bianca contoversy

[edit]

What does the so-called 'Lady Bianca controversy' have to do with this song, specifically? And what exactly IS the controversy? The quote is simply Lady Bianca explaining to someone why she quit Zappa's band. I propose this section be removed in its entirety.61.69.113.146 (talk) 06:41, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps she wound up workin in a gas station? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.119.130.196 (talk) 00:43, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics

[edit]

Does anybody know what the camper wants to buy? In the song there is a line that for 48 years I can not figure out what the last word in the line is:

"Maybe the camper wants to buy some ????"

My best guess is "ice" but listening to Philly '76 I think it is something else. Please help me as this has vexed me ever since I first heard the song! 2603:7000:41F0:85C0:92D:AD03:9F8C:E4EC (talk) 18:17, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A little research and the the intergooweb say it is "Manny the camper wants to buy some whitefish". Zappa has a philosophy of "conceptual continuity". I am unaware of any references to "Manny" or "whitefish" in Zappa's canon. If true, this is a really obscure reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7000:41F0:85C0:C589:6928:FCD5:524C (talk) 15:16, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
