[edit]- New Orleans Oliver Yard (NOPB connection; old depot was at the river here) to Wauhatchie; includes 0.4 mi of trackage rights on KCS in Meridian
- Back Belt Line: Oliver Junction to East Bridge Junction (IC/NOPB connection) (ex-New Orleans Terminal Company)
- Oliver Junction to Chalmette Yard (ex-New Orleans Terminal Company)
- Chalmette Yard to Port Nickel (ex-Louisiana Southern Railway; used to continue along St. Claude Avenue to the Pontchartrain Railroad)
- Poydras to Western Gas
- Chalmette Yard to Port Nickel (ex-Louisiana Southern Railway; used to continue along St. Claude Avenue to the Pontchartrain Railroad)
- Line south from Mobile Junction was the Brierfield, Blockton [sic] and Birmingham Railway, which became Southern and now NS; Southern had (and presumably NS has) trackage rights to Birmingham
- Lines north from Birmingham and both directions from Woodlawn were the Georgia Pacific Railway, which became Southern and now NS; Southern had (and presumably NS has) trackage rights from Birmingham to Woodlawn; east from Woodlawn may have been joint with the Columbus and Western Railroad → Central of Georgia Railway
- Wauhatchie to Shipps Yard (near 30th Street) (ex-Wauhatchie Extension Railway and Memphis-Chattanooga Railway)
- Shipps Yard to CNO&TP junction at Chattanooga National Cemetery (ex-Belt Railway of Chattanooga)
Former branches
- Gadsden and Attalla Railroad: Attalla to Gadsden, AGS-owned from 1892 to 1905, but sold to Southern in 1905, retaining AGS trackage rights - this may still be part of NS ([3])
- Woodstock and Blocton Railway: Woodstock to Blocton, AGS bought half interest from L&N in 1909; still jointly owned by CSX and NS, but appears to be abandoned or at least cut back; if the latter only NS still has access

East End Avenue is now Central Avenue. Missionary Avenue is now 23rd Street.
