This is a very bad article. Out of the skeleton of a few known dates, some past editor has erected a flimsy structure of guesswork, generic statements, redundancies, irrelevancies, and sheer nonsense (like the Norman Conquest of 1051 in which "William the Norman" overthrew King Edward the Confessor!) which reads like a 6th-grade essay whose main requirement is to fill up 10 pages.

I've deleted the major irrelevant sections and sentences, but the article certainly requires more pruning. RandomCritic (talk) 15:23, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
