Late grades paragraph

[edit]

I'm a relatively inexperienced editor, and I don't want to become involved in an edit war. However, I am concerned about the information about the release of grades that has now been posted twice on this page. It relies on a citation to a primary source that is not publicly available and that seems unlikely to support the section, at least in the way it was written. This is a problem for WP:BLPPRIMARY. The section takes a sarcastic non-neutral tone that I think violates Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. The information also does not seem relevant to the subject's notability. I think this violates Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, which is why I deleted it. PacificWonderland (talk) 14:41, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious: I remain concerned about this text, which has now been reinserted. I hope we can have a discussion about it on this page. My trouble with the material is that I cannot verify it, because the source is listed as "on file." It seems unlikely to me that a school registrar would send an email about student's joy at finding their instructor was late in turning in grades. I think it's more likely the statement just said the grades would be late. If so, I think that's what the article should say (although, as I said above, I don't think it is relevant to subject's notability). PacificWonderland (talk) 18:36, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I was a student in this class and I have not received the said email 24.61.47.186 (talk) 04:30, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
